The client for this project is a global open digital payments platform. Fueled by a fundamental belief that having access to financial services creates opportunity, the company is committed to democratizing financial services and empowering people and businesses to join and thrive in the global economy.

Challenge

The client wanted to create a virtual version of an 8-hour, in-classroom new hire orientation to help save training costs. However, they didn’t want to sacrifice the feeling of connections and local perspectives generated by in-person training. The client wanted to make it as interactive as possible and help new hires feel connected to their new colleagues and the company as a whole.

Strategy & Solution

ELB Learning created an interactive module focusing on the people of the organization. We embedded social polling and commenting to bring in the human connection. Learners can filter comments by geographic area or topic. Despite the fact that learners are taking these courses on their own, they are able to “hear” from their colleagues. In addition, personal brand-building exercises help learners think about how they want their colleagues to see them.

Results

The reaction has been overwhelmingly positive from the 5,000+ individuals who’ve completed the course so far. This course has an average score of 4.4 out of 5 from users.
