As organizations race to keep pace with technological change, many learning leaders are wrestling with how emerging forms of AI will reshape their work. Now, agentic AI is entering the picture, offering clear potential for L&D, but also introducing new uncertainties. From automating routine tasks to enabling more personalized learning experiences, the shift also raises new questions about employee trust, job impact and how learners adapt to AI‑driven environments. Many learning and development (L&D) teams recognize that AI could streamline their operations but are still figuring out how it fits into existing workflows and how employees will respond to it.
And this gap matters: Our research shows that while interest in AI‑enabled learning is surging among organizations, 56% of learners are still wary of AI‑driven training experiences.
Fortunately, agentic AI offers practical ways for L&D teams to scale quality learning without sacrificing human oversight, instructional integrity or, most importantly, employee trust and engagement.
When thoughtfully integrated, these tools can simplify content creation, accelerate delivery and provide real‑time insights that help learners stay on track. At the same time, understanding the human response, such as how employees perceive fairness, accuracy and usefulness, can help learning leaders introduce AI in ways that build buy‑in rather than resistance.
This Research Spotlight draws on exclusive Training Industry data to examine both sides of the equation: the capabilities of agentic AI and the human factors that shape its success. You’ll learn where AI can enhance L&D workflows, what barriers organizations encounter during implementation and the beliefs that most influence learner engagement and trust. You’ll gain evidence‑based insights to help you adopt AI responsibly and strategically.
In this session, you’ll be able to answer questions like:
- How can agentic AI automate and accelerate L&D workflows while maintaining quality?
- What are the most common challenges learning leaders face when introducing AI into training programs?
- How do learners generally react to agentic AI, and why do they feel this way?
- How can you introduce AI in ways that improve adoption, engagement and perceived value?
We’ll walk through research‑driven recommendations to help you integrate AI in ways that elevate (rather than overwhelm) your learning strategy. You’ll leave with concrete steps for improving communication around AI, strengthening employee adoption and leveraging agentic capabilities to streamline training. Understanding both the technological benefits and the human response will help you make smarter decisions about how AI can advance the impact of L&D across your organization.

Between 2026 and 2030, AI won't just change how work gets done; it will quietly change who gets seen, selected, sponsored, and saved when roles are redesigned. For many women, the disruption won't arrive as a dramatic layoff. It will arrive as a workflow "optimization," a new AI toolchain, and a decision made without a conversation.
This session modernizes women’s leadership development for the 2030 workplace. In this future-focused session, we’ll pinpoint what AI is disrupting (visibility, evaluation, career pathways, job design, and “potential” signals) and what can’t be automated (human judgment, sponsorship, ethical oversight, adaptability, and purpose). You’ll leave with a clear blueprint to redesign development, so women stay competitive, mobile, and resilient in an AI-shaped economy.
You’ll also learn:
- The five biggest disruption zones for women’s careers from 2026-2030, and what to do about them
- A simple model for shifting women’s leadership and career programs from “competency building” to future-mobility readiness
- How to transform AI reskilling from an existential threat to your strategic advantage

Game-based learning is everywhere, but is it effective? Does it move the needle on performance and outcomes? Too often, games are added to learning experiences with the hope that engagement alone will lead to better outcomes. Hope is not a strategy. Game-based learning only moves the needle when it is intentionally designed around authentic practice, feedback, and decision-making tied directly to real-world performance.
In this session, Dr. Karl Kapp, on behalf of ELB Learning, cuts through the hype and tackles the question learning leaders are asking: when does game-based learning actually improve results, and when is it just busywork with a leaderboard? In this session, we'll examine the research and provide recommendations on how you can gain the most from incorporating games into learning.
You will learn how to:
- Identify when game-based learning is most effective,
- Align the Game Design with desired outputs.
- Design game-based learning experiences that transfer to the job
